This registration is for Male Catch categories
 
Only register for 1 category at a time. 1 x category registration per £25
 
In the category drop down menus, please choose the correct one for your age and weight, and choose 'N/A' in the drop down menus for the categories that are not relevant to you. The system will not let you progress with your purchase until you have done this.
 
If you plan to enter more than one category. Make you first registration payment and then return to the shop 'The Turf' to register-pay for the additional category.
 
17yr old Wrestlers may purchase additional registrations for your weight, within the 18-39yr categories. You are also eligible to register for the Open-weight category.
 
18-39yr & 40yr+ Wrestlers may purchase a second registration for their respective Open-weight category.
 
Ensure you check that you have entered in-to the correct category(s).
 
We have a strict Refund and Cancellation policy.
 
Grass wrestling can be done in most weather conditions, sun, rain, and light to mid winds. However, there may be circumstances arise that are out of our control, which mean we have to cancel the event. In the case of cancellation, a full refund of the cost of your tickets will be provided. These circumstances include, but are not limited to:
Met office warnings for the area where the event is due to take place.
Prolonged: thunder, hail, snow, or severe wind storms.
We will continue the event if it is raining, or slight winds occur. We may take pauses to let it pass if it suddenly becomes very heavy. However, if the weather gets so bad and persistent enough to effect the ability to wrestle safely, the event will be cancelled.
Local council, authorities, or landowner issues and concerns.
Event Management issues. (These Championships are part of a wider Power in the Park event, which is managed by a separate organisation. This means any venue change or cancellation that they make, is out of our control).
Emergency. If the Championships organising committee have unforeseen issues that means the event cannot be directed correctly and/or safely.
Safety concerns with the ground where wrestling is to take place.
Issues arising during the event which mean it cannot continue. Such as a criminal act is committed; a serious injury or health concern occurs, etc.
 
We endeavour to provide up to the minute communications on changes to, or cancellation of, the event, before and on the event day. Please keep a careful watch of all our communication channels (Facebook, Instagram, Email, Website) for up to date information.
 
If the event is cancelled on the day of the event your registration fees will be refunded only. We will not refund any travel, accommodation, or refreshment costs. This is an outdoor event which carries the risk of cancellation. Based on this policy, it is your decision to continue with registration.
 
Refunds will be processed within 30 working days from the point of making the refund request.
 
This purchase represents one entry per category, per person (Wrestler).
 
For entry in-to other categories you must make an additional purchase.
 
Weigh-in is on the day of the event and will take place between 09:00 and 10:30am. Along with a ‘Wrestler fit to wrestle medical’.
 
First Bout will take place at 10:30am.
 
This ticket can be refunded up to 23:30pm on the 11th August 2024. At that point NO refunds will be given.
 
Registrations for all categories closes at 23:30pm on the 11th August 2024.
 
There is no weight overlap, between categories. You must be within your registered category. e.g. if you registered for 59kg, then you must be no more than 59kg and no less than 55.1kg.
 
If you weigh-in outside of you weight bracket/category then to compete, you must register and pay for an additional category at the weight you weighed-in at. No refunds will be given.
 
If you are late for the start of the bout at your weight category, there will be NO refunds. If you do not turn up for the event, there will be NO refunds. For refunds you must have registered the request by 23:30pm on the 11th August 2024 - No exceptions.
 
You have plenty of time to plan your journey and training, to ensure you make weight and can get to the event.
 
Wrestlers are permitted to have up to two corner persons/coaches. They do not need to purchase a ticket.
 
Spectators/supporters do not need to purchase a ticket.
 
Male and female changing facilities will be on site, and under canvas/tarp.
 
Toilets-portaloos will be provided.
 
There will be no washing or showering facilities available.
 
The venue is located on the edge of the town center, with lots of options for refreshments, as well as hotels.
 
Vendor stalls (burgers, pizza, sandwiches, beer, soft drinks) will be on site as part of the wider Power in the Park event.
 
Along side the wrestling arena, there will be a Strongman event taking place - Leicestershires Strongest Man/Woman.
 
A Medical team will be on site to respond to injuries and illness.
 
You must have your own personal sports-wrestling injury insurance to cover you if you are injured. You are wrestling on grass, which is fairly soft, although provides a harder landing than if you were landing on specialist matts. This insurance will not be checked by the event management team at any point, it is up to you to ensure you have it in place, or take the risk of wrestling without it. Your completion of registration is confirmation of acceptance of this policy.
 
Wrestlers suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs during weigh-in and up to the completion of their bout(s) will be disqualified. Referees and Judges decision is final.
 
Rules:
 
Backhold will follow the Cumberland & Westmorland ruleset.
 
Catch will follow the Snakepit traditional ruleset.

The event is being held at Play Close Park, Mucky Lane (off Burton St), Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. It is part of a wider event called 'Power in the Park', which is Leicestershire’s annual Strongest Man/Woman event. It is a family oriented event, and kids and dogs are welcome. Please keep dogs on a lead and clean any mess up. There will be stalls selling hot and cold food & drinks, as well as bouncy castles etc.
 
Remember - when filling out the registration form, select N/A in the drop down menu for the category(s) that are not relevant to you, otherwise the system will not let you continue to checkout. e.g. if you are registering in the Adult 18-39yrs category, then select your weight option in the drop down menu, then in the other 2 categories (Kids and Masters), select N/A in their drop down menus.
 
Payment is made through Paypal. You do not need to have a paypal account to make your payment. Paypal allows you to make one time payments. To pay with a Paypal account choose the 'Login' button. To pay as a one time payment, choose the 'Pay by Debit or Credit Card' button, at the bottom of the page.
