Welcome to English Grass Wrestling.

We are an organisation formed in 2024, specialising in promoting english folkstyle wrestling, such as Cumberland and Westmoreland Backhold wrestling, and Catch As Catch Can (CACC) or Lancashire Wrestling, commonly referred to as Catch Wrestling.

​

We are focused on maintaining the heritage of English folkstyle wrestling. A key part of this is by ensuring its roots and therefore hold all of our events in the traditional arena of mother nature, outdoors and on grass.

We welcome members of the public, beginners, and seasoned wrestlers to take part in any of our events.

​

To take part in an event, please read through the pages of the website to get a good understanding of the requirements, and then go to our shop 'The Turf' to formally register.
